My Project
As I stepped into this school year with three new curriculums to learn, adapt, and implement in my kindergarten classroom, mentally, I was prepared to teach the academic side. I prepared over the summer and brainstormed different ways I could organize these curriculums with the materials I already had. I spent a lot of time over break reflecting on the first semester, and I realized more materials were needed to organize my classroom space to benefit my students. The new curriculums come with many materials, and passing each of these items out can become very time-consuming.
In order for my classroom to run smoothly, I am asking for five-tiered metal carts.
We do not have desks in my kindergarten classroom, and we have tables. The one problem with tables is the ability to organize materials. The materials can be more accessible if each table had a cart. The first tier will be used to organize reading materials, the next will organize math materials, and the last will be used to organize writing materials.
Boogie boards, lap desks, and math manipulatives will also support my learners. The Boogie boards will be utilized during my small group UFLI lessons. I have a lot of left-handed students, and their work is erased when utilizing the whiteboards. The students can use these boards without their work erasing. The lap desks can be used to significantly enhance the learning environment by promoting comfort, mobility, and engagement during lessons.
The math manipulatives can be incredibly effective in supporting students' learning and understanding of mathematical concepts.
With your contribution, we can transform my learning environment by strengthening the organization in my classroom. Ensuring that both teachers and students are equipped to thrive and succeed in an ever-evolving educational landscape.
