My Project
Your contribution of acrylic and wood will empower my 7th and 8th graders to bring their community-focused designs to life through laser cutting and cricut making. Acrylic will enable visually engaging signs and displays, while wood will allow for the creation of tangible models and structures. The transfer tape will allow the students to help make stickers using the cricut machine that will be used to enhance projects. This hands-on experience will move their learning from abstract ideas to real-world impact, fostering crucial design and problem-solving skills as they create meaningful contributions to our community. Your support will directly fuel their creativity and civic engagement.
This project aims to empower my 7th and 8th graders to design and create tangible solutions for our community using laser cutting and cricut machine, fostering their creativity, problem-solving skills, and civic engagement while developing essential 21st-century technical abilities.
What makes my students so special is their incredible blend of genuine enthusiasm and a deep-seated desire to contribute positively to our Ewa and Hawai'i community. They approach challenges with open minds and a remarkable willingness to learn new things, especially when it means they can make a real difference. Their creativity shines through in their diverse ideas, and they possess a unique empathy that drives them to consider how their designs can truly benefit others right here in Hawai'i. They're not just learning; they're actively seeking ways to apply their knowledge to make Ewa and Hawai'i a better place, and that proactive spirit is truly exceptional.
