Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work in a school where 98% of students come from low-income families. However, my students deserve to experience the magic of the holiday. With your support, my students will learn that their environment and grades do not define their future; their mindset shapes their destiny.
With your support, my students will also have an opportunity to engage in a STEM project for our measurement unit.
Students will realize they are creative, talented, and persistent in creating their gingerbread house using crackers, candies, and icing.
This engaging, interactive project will teach my students to embrace the growth mindset, viewing mistakes as a way to learn and grow. With hard work, practice, and persistence, they will eventually master anything they set their minds on.
