Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from an inner city. We are a Title I school, which means that 98% of our children are on free and reduced lunch. The majority of my students are ESOL, so English is not their first language. I also have a few ESE (exceptional student education), who are visual and tactile learners.
My fourth grade class is a diverse group of students who are excited to learn in a welcoming environment.
This school year, I am fortunate to teach 45 effervescent students.
My Project
These Fire Tablets will open up a whole new world for my students. With them, they will be able to work with sophisticated math and science instructional programs without bandwidth limitations or mechanical interruptions. My geniuses will be able to extend their understanding of number sense, build their multiplication fluency, learn how to use units of measure in real life situations, just to name a few. These wonderful tools will help expand their learning horizons and properly prepare them for the educational challenges that lie ahead.
Your kindness, your generosity, your gift will change the equation forever.
It will place in their hands what they need most; a means by which to reach the next level.
