My Project

FSAQ is seeking support for an inkjet printer and printing supplies to enhance our K-8 makerspace. This grant will complement our existing tools, including a Roland vinyl cutter and Cricut cutter, allowing students to create posters, flyers, stickers, and garments using software like Canva, Google Drawing, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Our unique approach involves the active engagement of all grades in the makerspace to support classroom learning.

The inkjet printer will play a crucial role in elevating our project-based learning activities, providing students with a tangible outlet for creativity. The integration of various software platforms will allow students to develop essential digital design skills.

The impact of this grant extends beyond the immediate benefits of hands-on projects. By fostering an environment where students actively use the makerspace, we aim to instill 21st-century skills such as digital literacy, problem-solving, and collaboration. The inkjet printer will serve as a catalyst for cultivating creativity and self-expression among our students.

From visually appealing posters to custom stickers and personalized garments, the inkjet printer will enable students to showcase their understanding of subjects in innovative ways.
