This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
J.K. Rowling wrote, " I do believe something very magical can happen when you open a really good book." Help take my wonderful 5th graders to a magical place beyond the classroom where they can discover, learn, and imagine.
My classroom consists of twenty 5th graders just waiting to explore and understand the world around them.
There is no greater gift to a child than to open their eyes to a world full of wonder, imagination, and adventure.
My Project
Individual Kindle Fires will allow my students to safely continue exploring various books and comprehension reading materials at a time when immediate sharing of paperback books will be challenging. Each student will have their own Kindle Fire which allows them to have in their hands the ability to obtain a book that piques their interest and challenges them immediately. The digital aspect will allow for the students to continue exploring and reading books at home if our education platform shifts to virtual. Students will have knowledge and access to websites that provide reading materials they enjoy. Students will be able to choose books during independent reading that will continue to foster their love of reading and academic success!
The best way to increase reading abilities is to read more, and these Kindle Fire will help my students continue to grow into stronger readers!
With such a strong emphasis and need for technology integration, this will increase their literacy interest and desire to learn through the use of technology.
