Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Research shows that Hispanic students are more likely to pursue STEAM degrees if they see examples of high achievers in this area who are Hispanic. The population of my school is 97% Hispanic. Representation and visibility are paramount in helping Hispanic students take pride in their identity and culture.
Help me be able to provide the opportunity for my students to create printed projects to display in the library that highlight the achievements of Hispanics in the fields of science technology, engineering, arts, and math.
