This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a class of 20 energetic, eager to learn four and five year old students. For my class project, "If You Give A Kindergartener A Book..." I am asking for a variety of books written by the famous childrens author Laura Joffe Numeroff. Laura Joffe Numeroff wrote the classic childrens books series "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie." Children LOVE these books and fall in love with reading when they hear these stories. It is my goal to expose my young learners to as many different classics and as many different books to make learning and reading fun. It is my goal to make books more engaging and entertaining than the Ipad that many students spend most of their time on. These books can really make a difference in my students learning. When the right books are read to children, it can open up a new world to them. Please help me make this dream a reality.
