This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"We can close the gap and improve what happens in the classroom by using educational technology that is the same high quality everywhere." - Major Owens
How do we prepare our kids for the future?
We need to educate them about the world around them because they will be the ones leading our world in years to come.
I have a variety of student reading abilities and they are all coming from a variety of cultural backgrounds and socio-economic status'. My school and classroom is a place that encourages students to think critically and be problem solvers without the fear of taking a risk and making a mistake.
My Project
My students have 11 Chromebooks to use in our classroom. This technology works fast and they are able to research various topics and create cross-curricular projects online. However, the mouse pad on the Chromebook does not function the same as a regular computer mouse and that limits the features they can utilize as they create. Your donation will help my students more accurately create projects that show their learning easier than before and more efficiently.
Learning the features of a computer mouse is a skill my 3rd graders will use going forward and not be forgotten after they leave my class.
More than half of students from low‑income households
