This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students face many challenges and obstacles in their home and school life. As a teacher it is a difficult task to give them the equal amount of opportunities that other students in other areas may have. In spite of the fact, my students show up everyday eager and excited to learn, they strive for success and do not give up.
Our school is in the heart of Los Angeles and serves a community that has a high poverty rate and diverse backgrounds.
As a product of the same circumstances, I believe that my students will achieve prosperity with the help of big-hearted people.
My Project
Having a set of wireless headphones will keep my students tangle free and focused on their task. My students love to have their favorite book read to them over and over again, with the headphones they will now be able to listen to their favorite book numerous times.Also, this year I have a large amount of students who are English Learners and need the additional language support. With a group of 28 Kindergartners the noise level can sometimes be lively and unruly.
Headphones will benefit my students who need extra support being focused and will give them an additional opportunity to listen to a fluent model.
