My Project

In my gifted and talented middle school ELA classroom, high-quality literature is essential for fostering deep discussions, critical thinking, and creativity. The books I’m requesting, such as The Last Cuentista, Flowers of Algernon, and Refugee will provide my students with diverse perspectives, rich vocabulary, and complex themes that challenge them to think analytically and empathetically. My goal is to create an engaging, rigorous environment where students explore literature beyond the surface level. These students are exceptional; they thrive on inquiry, make insightful connections, and push boundaries in their thinking. Access to these books will fuel their intellectual curiosity.
