Technology is taken for granted in the business world. Something as simple as a projector in my classroom will make my babies have the access to videos, literature and speeches online they otherwise would not!
As a turnaround school, we are blessed to have an amazing staff and administration team ready to change lives.
However, we do not have funds for basic supplies. My babies need to be able to see lots of real world examples of work and literature, on a daily basis!
My babies come from a low-income, high need part of Chicago. They deserve the best in education and that starts with the teachers. As a turnaround school, we start from scratch, so every item I receive is truly valued. Having basic technology for the classroom will allow me to share even when I don't have copies for all my students!
My Project
My students need a projector so I can share everything and anything with them! From a comparison of excerpts from Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech and President Barack Obama's Inauguration speech, to video of 9/11 so they understand history and feel as if they were there!
This project will let my students have basic technology so they may have the same high class education all students deserve!
I cannot let my babies believe they deserve anything less!!
