My Students
"There is no wrong way to get the correct answer!"
Our Georgia school is a Title I high-poverty school, with over 70% of our students receiving free or reduced price lunch.
Our classroom is filled with twenty brilliant third graders who love math! Lessons in our classroom are designed to meet the needs and interests of all learners.
My Project
In our classroom, we use centers for small group instruction. Our math center needs a revamp. We need more game options for the center to get the students excited about math! My students love to play games. Of all of the math games, my student love bingo! I would like to add different types of bingo games to the math center, like fraction, addition, division, and multiplication bingo. Along with bingo, children will be able to choose from other math games to play like fraction dominoes. After the games, they can quiz each other using the dry erase boards. Students can use Judy Clocks and other math manipulatives to help with problem solving.
I want my students to be excited about math and be learners for life.
Your donation for math center will make this possible! Having a variety of activities and manipulatives will give them the freedom to experiment with using their own methods to find the correct answer.
