My Students

We are in the 21st century and I would love to keep updating my classroom so my students can benefit from all the technology that is available!

I have a really great bunch of students.

They are one of the most kind and caring groups of students I have ever taught. My students are not rich in money, but they are rich in their desire to learn. Since many of them do not have technology in their homes, they really look forward to technology in the classroom. iPads are an excellent educational resource. There are so many applications available. My students love working on the one iPad we have. They are able to practice a variety of skills and receive immediate feedback. Students also learn to be responsible and take ownership of their learning.

My Project

Students will be able to use the iPad for many different things. One of the applications I plan on using with the students is Grammar Jammers. Grammar Jammers is an application that quizzes students on the parts of speech as well as capitalization and punctuation. Another application I plan to use is Educreations. The application allows students show and explain their work while recording. I plan to use this during math. There is a wealth of phenomenal math games such as Slice it!, Multiplication Wiz, Division Wiz, and Mathmateer.

iPads are terrific for engaging all students.

The applications keep students focused, provide practice, and assessments. Applications are available for all areas of study. iPads can be used for those that may need a little extra help or for those that are above and beyond and need a little enrichment. They are great for all!
