This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"You can do what you can dream" is a saying that I have up in my classroom. Next to it is a picture of our class mascot, P.C. Palmetto Cow, reading and dreaming about space. On the other side is a picture showing P.C. achieving his goal of exploring space as an astronaut.
This saying is something to inspire my students because my classroom is a place where learning allows them to dream and achieve.
We explore the world with creativity and critical thinking. What better way to extend that learning than with technology and the use of iPads?
My class of curious minds is comprised of twenty-one gifted students. Their curiosity extends across the curriculum. They are CSI agents (Curious Scientific Investigators) who are excited about science. They love to be challenged and thrive on enriching group projects that allow them to use creativity, think critically, and problem solve. They love to delve into a topic we are studying, ask questions, and research to learn more.
My Project
Incorporating technology into my students' lessons excites them. Adding three iPads to my classroom and using the applications will provide even more access to science, social studies, reading, and math resources and provide even more chances to flourish with our hands-on and minds-on learning.
The addition of these iPads will allow my students the opportunity to further research what we are studying, and provide additional ways to present and share the information.
This will allow my students to further dream what they can do, and do what they can dream.
