Help me give my students an audiometer or hearing screener, because I work in an impoverished school and having an up to date device can ensure accurate results to identify a hearing deficit.
I am the school nurse at my school. Our school is a mixture of an urban and suburban setting, and our kids are wonderful honest students. Although many of them come from a disadvantaged background, they prevail and thrive. As their school nurse, I help them find the needed resources to help them be able to learn without limitations. Our school is in need of a new audiometer so I can do their hearing screening accurately. Our current audiometer is over 40 years old and is in need of being replaced.
My Project
The majority of my students come from a poverty background and they have experienced many obstacles in life already. Having an updated audiometer will successfully identified a hearing loss. Then the student will be able to get connected to the resources to help them hear, and increase their ability to learn. I would love to have the opportunity to give the best for my students, so their future is the brightest it can possibly be. I would greatly appreciate any help that is available to help meet this goal.
