This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Spring is here and students are very accident-prone. Health room visits have increased; requiring a need for quick assessment and treatment. Easy access to emergent first aid supplies is very essential as a school nurse. Normally we assess the injury and walk to the cafeteria to get ice. Emergent injuries such as a broken arm or sprained ankle will need immediate treatment. Having ice packs in the nurse's office will eliminate the delay in assessment, treatment, and care. The ice machine will remain in the nurse's office for use in medical treatment.
