Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative, constantly learning new things, enjoy working together, and love to conduct experiments! When students have opportunities to make discoveries on their own they get excited and in turn, learn to love science.
Help us get an ice machine so our students can have authentic hands-on science experiments.
One project we will be doing this quarter is making ice cream. In this experiment, we are connecting to our topic of matter. Students describe the state of their mixture at the start and then will record the changes they observed after cooling and shaking the mixture for 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 10 minutes.
All grade levels in our school (Pre-k to 5th) will have access, so it's not just our grade level that will benefit from this ice machine!
