My Project
Students are becoming creators of content, rather than consumers of information. Our students deserve every opportunity and resource to identify issues beyond our classroom and use resourcefulness and creativity to raise awareness about those topics. An iMac computer will help them do this.
With an "I Can" attitude, students' taking action becomes contagious.
Students select a topic about which they want to take action over their three-year time in our middle school. This project is designed to empower students to examine issues beyond the classroom, which are meaningful and important to them. While the goal is not to necessarily solve an issue, students take steps to raise awareness about their topic.
An iMac computer will help our students create, store, edit, and publish video files needed to successfully take action. Students will be using built-in software such as the iMovie and photos apps. They will be enabled to create high-quality work to share with others. Having an iMac at our fingertips is essential for their success.
When actions become contagious, students have the power to create, innovate and use imagination to address issues beyond their classroom.
