Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In class, my students are often engaging online. They use apps like PearDeck and Google Classroom. We use these online tools to engage deeply with primary texts and also foster media literacy. Currently, I am only able to use my school computer which must be plugged into the monitor at all times.
With this iPad, students will be able to receive more one-on-one support and engagement.
I will be able to monitor students, provide in-the-moment feedback, and share technology skills my students have not yet been exposed to. Our school system has the ability to monitor students online. Being able to do that, while still offering one-on-one feedback to students throughout the classroom, will be instrumental in improving both students' SEL experiences in class and their academic performance.
