Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have twenty amazing third grade students that show up to class eager to learn, despite the challenges they are faced with both in and out of the classroom. Our school is a low income Title I that offers free breakfast and lunch to all children. My students have a wide variety of learning styles and levels, all of which deserve the best education possible. Every student is special and valued in their own unique way. I care about my students and they know it!
My goal as a bilingual teacher is to encourage my students to love learning and to develop lifelong independent learners.
I especially love that my students try their best on everything that comes their way. They love to read and enjoy hands-on activities. They are great helpers and I know I can count on them. Every day I make sure to instill good qualities that will make them amazing citizens. I want my students to remember me when they grow up, so I make them feel welcome, safe, and important on a daily basis!
My Project
I am requesting an iPad to assist me on my journey of professional growth. I attend a lot of professional development through out the year and it is preferred to bring your own device, which I am in need of. It will help me stay organized and create outstanding lessons for my students. I will be able to create slide shows and graphic organizers relating to the content they are learning in the classroom. Most importantly, I love that it is portable so that I can walk around the room while delivering my lessons by using the mirroring feature.
I am always looking for ways to grow professionally in order to continue to engage and motivate my students to excel!
I plan on completing the Apple Teacher program so that I can learn the skills needed that directly apply to activities with my students. The iPad will be such a powerful tool that will enhance my craft as a teacher and allow me to prepare myself with the technological demands of today's 21st century. iPads can be used anywhere! Please help make my dream a reality with an iPad and keyboard.
