My Students

Kindergarten students are so amazing! That is why I have named my class the Amazing Kinders! We are working this year to build our reading, math, and socializing skills and to increase our awareness of the big world around us.

My students come from a wide variety of cultures and languages.

Currently, our school has 41 different languages being spoken! It is very special for students to interact and learn from each other. While they are so different, they are also very much the same. Learning how each family is different, but special, will lead to a lifetime of cultural understanding.

My Project

My students are in need of a new rug for our classroom. I have been a Kindergarten teacher for 15 years and my classroom rug is old, stained, and "yucky" as the Kindies say.

I would love to have a donor give my students a new rug to gather on during our learning time.

We read, count, sing, talk, and enjoy each other on our rug. It is the hub of the classroom and everyone belongs. I am asking for a rug that will have space for 30 Kinders that will brighten up our day and aide in our learning.
