This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students need flash drives to store their data. Many of the students I work with do not have flash drives and do not bring in what is on the supply list. It is challenging to complete the projects in Gifted and Talented when the flash drives are not available for them to use.

My students are a mix of Asian, African American, Hispanic, and White.

I teach at a very low income school where it is difficult for families to provide what is on our yearly Gifted and Talented supply list. This project would provide basic Gifted and Talented technology that the school and the parents are not able to provide for our high ability students.

My Project

My students will be able to spend less time borrowing flash drives that they can't find their work on and more time learning about our themed topic this year, "Past Civilizations." My students love technology but are often frustrated because they can't save their work properly.

These flash drives would help improve the technology in our Gifted and Talented program.

We have needed these for quite some time. The students will be excited that they can have a flash drive that they can save all of their work on and can call their own.
