My Students

Help to optimize our world. My students have severe delays in reading and language arts skills. Some are dyslexic and have difficulty with written tasks. A laptop computer would provide my students with the motivation to be in more mainstreamed classes.

My students are special education students in grades K-6 in Oklahoma.

I serve autistic, learning disabled, other health impairment, traumatic brain injuries, emotionally disturbed and intellectual disabilities. Our school exemplifies a community of active learners that care for each other.

My Project

Reading and language arts (written expression) go hand in hand. My students will be able to use a laptop computer for an variety of tasks such as: answering written response questions, journaling, creative writing, e-mails, and researching projects.

My project is important because my students will have a method of traveling to and from regular classes with additional help in written tasks.

They will be able to participate in mainstreamed classes by typing written response answers that can be downloaded for documentation. The students will also use the laptop for numerous tasks such as: daily journals, letter writing, story writing, e-mails, and research projects.
