My students need a place to set their music so they can properly play their instruments with correct hand positions and posture.

Help! I want to play this instrument, but I can't do it and hold my music, and if I put it on the floor someone will ruin it.
This is common problem where I teach. I am the music teacher of approximately 100 students who learn basic music skills to play the recorder. We are located in an impoverished part of our city and most of our children are on free and reduced lunches. Our school has a strong emphasis on teaching reading and math to our students as well as how to function in the community.
Music enhances a student in other areas of life. They learn skills that help them with math and reading, as well as teamwork and how to be part of a community. My students enjoy learning the recorder, but it is a hassle to find a place for their music while they practice. We have a music stand in the classroom basically for the use of the teacher or someone playing alone for the rest of the class.
I would like to purchase ten music stands. Having stands will allow my students to have the proper posture for breath control and free their hands so they can learn the right fingering positions.
Your support of the arts in education helps us enrich the educational experiences of many children. It also teaches our students how important it is to be involved in community and give back what they can to help others.
