Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first- and second-grade students have found studying dinosaurs to be a fascinating topic. As soon as they enter my room, they start chatting excitedly, eager to share what they already know and curious to learn what they will discover.
We have been watching tons of videos on dinosaurs.
However, I want to give them the opportunity to find a cozy spot in the room to read and explore the subject independently or with a buddy. Since this is the first time, we are studying dinosaurs, I don't have a variety of books for all the students. I would love to add to their excitement by filling the room with lots and lots of interesting books about the T-Rex, Brontosaurs, Apatosaurs and other amazing dinosaurs.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
