Help me give my students Magna-Tiles, LEGO DUPLO bricks, wooden building blocks, and more for their projects to come to life with the materials they need to build.
My students are from a large, urban community that welcomes families from all backgrounds. They bring a blend of diversity, prior experiences, and culture to our school. I teach in a kindergarten inclusion classroom where several of my students receive special education services for a range of disabilities, including intellectual, emotional, autism spectrum disorder, and many other specific learning disabilities. Many of my students also receive ESL services. The majority of my students receive free breakfast and lunch, which are now being offered remotely to every child/family that needs it.
My Project
I want my students to use their imaginations as well as design buildings and structures and these building/STEM toys can help them do that. Help give my students what they need to become young creators and architects. A variety of blocks and building tools can help them be more creative and stretch their imaginations wide. It's just not enough to draw or talk about it, they need to use their hands to create it. I want to give the students a variety of tools to make their plans become a reality. Give them what they need to build.
