Can you imagine creating a yearbook without any cameras? In the past, my charter middle school has relied on the kindness of teachers who used their own cameras to take pictures throughout the year. This year, the students will take ownership of their yearbook in a brand-new Yearbook Club! I would greatly appreciate your assistance in buying 2 digital cameras for the students.
Students in Yearbook Club will learn how to take good photographs, how to edit them on the computer, and how to design a beautiful yearbook. They will be able to preserve their memories of seeing dinosaur fossils at the natural history museum, dancing up a storm at the Spring Fling Dance, peering through microscopes in science class, presenting their original poetry in writing class, kicking a winning goal on the soccer team, and much more. They will be able to take pride in knowing that the yearbook is entirely their own creation.
I enjoy looking back at my school yearbooks and remembering old friends and fun times, and your donation will help my students – and many future students – to be able to have that same privilege.
