This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! Their enthusiasm for learning never ceases to amaze me. They work hard every day, staying engaged with hands-on activities and games that help them practice their skills and increase their knowledge. I love giving them the opportunity. We are a low socioeconomic area and highly diverse school in Central California. Nearly all of my students' learning happens at school. Most of my students have not traveled beyond our city walls. We are a small school - with a big heart!

My Project

My students are very interested in learning more about how computers work. I want to know more about the resources available to teach students what they want to know, including how I can best help them.

My students are excited to start advancing their ability to become creators of technology, not simply consumers of technology.

We ask our students to think critically and to consider careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This summer's professional development course and stipend will allow me to focus on the education I need to take my students a head start on where they want to go in the computer science field. Thanks for coordinating this event, CSTA.
