Help me give my students the book I Survive the Sinking of the Titanic for each 4th grade class to study together.

My Students

I have 25 energetic students in my class who I want to challenge every day. My students are eager to learn and work hard every day. I have high expectations, and my students know this.

My students are at every level, and I want to be able to teach differentiated lessons and make engaging lessons for all of my students.

I want my students to be excited to come to school because they know that they will be learning in a fun and engaging way.

My Project

I would like each 4th grade class to have a set of I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912 to study across the whole 4th grade together. This will be so fun for the students to dive into this book together and be able to talk about this with each other.

This will be such a good opportunity for the students to close read a historical fiction book and be able to recognize the author’s tone or perspective, the word choices, compare it to other texts, and understand why a text is organized as it is.
