This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What do my students look forward to the most? Choosing books from our classroom library, hearing stories read aloud, and our trips to the computer lab. By having two Kindle fires in our classroom their love of reading and their use of technology will be available on a daily basis.

My students come to school eager and ready to learn everyday.

We work from the moment the bell rings till it's time to go home. They give 110% and love using technology to practice our daily lessons or to work on enrichment activities. However many of their homes do not have any technology for my students to practice what they learn in school. By having two Kindles available for my students to use when they finish their work or during center time their interest in learning will continue to grow!

My Project

A Kindle Fire opens a whole new door for my students. In my current classroom I have many different levels of needs. I plan on using educational apps to review and reinforce basic phonics and reading skills as well as challenge my gifted students by having them read chapter books and complete group projects. By having the Kindle available my students will be more motivated to learn in a fun and interactive way.

My students come to school everyday eager to learn in new ways and with your help I will be able to challenge them through enrichment opportunities provided by Kindle's educational apps and reading library.
