My Project
I am building a new classroom from scratch. The children I teach represent a multitude of cultures and races. It is incredibly important for me that they have literature they can relate to. Many of my students come from low-income and military families. It is hard for many of them to access books at home.
My students are hungry for reading and love when we get new books!
I would love to be able to provide them with books that represent their heritages and allow them to learn about others. This helps to teach tolerance and foster inclusiveness in our classroom culture.
