Help me give my students books and curriculum that represent and celebrate my Black and Latinx students from multiple perspectives.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In just a few shorts weeks, I’ll get to “meet” 25 sweet, eager, and capable students virtually! I am a special education resource teacher and I am going to support all my amazing kiddos across many different classrooms from kindergarten to fifth grade! I can’t wait to build a community and safe place for students take learn and grow their skills.
My students live in an area of highest poverty in town and 100% of the students at our school receive a free lunch.
Despite these challenges, my students are amazing kids! My students are spread out in different classrooms, so I will need a variety of basic supplies to support their learning needs.
My students' situation can be very challenging and we need many additional resources to supplement the severe lack of funding and opportunities my students deserve to have.
My Project
I teach amazing students with an inadequate library and curriculum resources that hold only one perspective. I need books and curriculum resources to supplement the few resources I'm provided by our district, to give my students the opportunity to learn about their history, uplift their culture, and see themselves in our learning every day.
I will use the TPT gift card to purchase curriculum supplemental resources written by Black, Indigenous, Latinx, API, and other people of color to truly represent multiple perspectives.
My students deserve to learn with more resources and this project will be a good first step in that direction. Thank you for your support.
