I Made This! Empowering Young Innovators with 3D Printing

Help me give my students access to a 3D printer so they can say, “I made this!”—turning their big ideas into real-world creations while building the STEM and problem-solving skills they need to become future engineers and innovators.

My Project

In our classroom, we believe every student has the potential to be an innovator. With the help of a 3D printer, my students will have the opportunity to turn their big ideas into real-world creations, unlocking their creative potential while building important STEM and problem-solving skills.

The 3D printer will allow students to design and print their own prototypes, models, and inventions, giving them a hands-on understanding of how technology and design intersect.

From creating simple objects that reinforce math and science concepts to solving real-world challenges, students will experience how problem-solving and innovation can come to life in the classroom.

This project goes beyond just technology—it's about fostering a growth mindset, igniting curiosity, and empowering young minds to think like engineers and creators. By learning to design in 3D, students will build confidence, learn the importance of iteration, and develop skills that will serve them for years to come.

Many of my students have never had the chance to use a 3D printer before. With your support, we can introduce them to the exciting world of design and engineering, helping them realize that their ideas can become reality. Together, we can give them the tools to build a brighter future—one printed layer at a time.
