This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school uses the Accelerated Reading Program which allows students to read at their current reading level. Once they have finished a book, they take a comprehension quiz. This gives motivation for reading and the students are so excited when they move to the next level!

My students love to read!

We are looking for books for our classroom library so the students have a variety of genres to read and pick from. The excitement of choosing a book and then sharing it with friends is priceless to watch in my classroom. I have seen mini-book clubs spring up! Amazing!
