My Project
In 5th grade, students need to analyze different ways to filer particles out of water. The materials I'm requesting will help students create and study two different filers so that they can compare and contrast the changes that occur.
I believe that students learn best with hands-on experiments that demonstrate the standards, and these materials will help them have a first-hand view of how to filter particles out of water.
The goal of this project is to give students a real world experience of engineering by looking at different types of filter material to determine which ones work well, then design a filtering system to clean the polluted water.
