I Love Myself Just as I Am!

Help me give my students a five week self-love curriculum! Each week includes reading three books that go along with the themes of the week and a low prep craft.

My Project

I love to see confidence built and retained within my classroom. Each student is unique in their own way and I love to celebrate each of their strengths that they bring to the classroom and to life.

This self-love five week curriculum and activities will help them see how each of us is important in and out of the classroom.

And how they as students can impact the lives of others around us.

Each week we will celebrate our differences and find ways to love ourselves and others around us. I want each class to feel like a family and know that they can count on one another to speak words of kindness.

First graders are at the point where we can breathe belief in them and mold them into wonderful citizens. I want them to love school and feel safe within our walls. It starts with how they feel about themselves and I am hoping these 5 week lessons will do just that.

The books will be displayed each week with the magnetic book shelves. The supplies needed are scissors and coloring choices, along with the 5 week craft activities. I will use the chart paper to make class created anchor charts that display the weekly topic.

After making the crafts each week, I will laminate the items for the students to take home and keep as reminders of how they felt about themselves as a 6-7year old. The motivational pillow will be used in my student rocker for our weekly star student and the stickers will be given out each week on Friday before going home. The curriculum needed for these five weeks is on TPT. I can purchase the whole unit bundle that includes many other weeks like friendship, kindness, gratitude, growth mindset, and social skills.
