My Project
My students need more flexible seating options in the classroom. They are active and energetic 4th graders. They need movement to be incorporated into their day to maximize their brain function. Research has shown that alternative/flexible seating has had a positive result in classrooms. By adding donut yoga balls and the elastic bands will help me and students create a positive learning environment with alternative seating.
My students are goal-oriented, passionate, clever and spontaneous in their learning.
They love to read the authentic texts in Chinese and engage in the great conversations with their peers while discussing the contents. They also love to share their voices to the others.
They each have a need for alternative seating that allows them to move and stay engaged as they learn.
Having alternative seating options will provide these opportunities. My students will be able to stay physically active and engaged throughout the day, which will in turn help them stay academically and intellectually engaged.
