My Project
I teach 24 second graders who have a hard time focusing because of an abundance of energy. My wish is to give them these tools so that they can remain engaged and active in their learning. Students lose a lot of learning time a day having to leave classrooms to exert their energy or visit sensory rooms; this will help to keep them in our classroom and not miss any instruction or content important to their education. In addition to helping students with extra energy, these items can also be helpful to my neurodivergent students. Some of their stims would benefit from the wiggle stool in particular.
