it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have twenty amazing 3rd grade students that show up to class eager to learn, despite the challenges they are faced with, both in and out of the classroom. Our school is a low income Title I school that offers free breakfast and lunch to all children. My students have a wide variety of learning styles and levels, all of which deserve the best education possible. Every student in my classroom is unique, and everyone in the room respects each other. I care about my students and they know it!
My goal, as a bilingual teacher, is to encourage my students to love learning and to develop lifelong independent learners.
I especially love that my students try their best on everything that comes their way. They love to read and enjoy hands-on activities. They are great helpers, and I know I can count on them. Every day, I make sure to instill good qualities that will make them amazing citizens. I want my students to remember me when they grow up, so I make them feel welcome, safe, and important on a daily basis!
My Project
Music, singing, and dancing brings joy to our classroom! We are in need of a portable bluetooth speaker so that music can follow us everywhere we go! I incorporate music in my classroom everyday to make my lessons become more engaging and meaningful. We take brain breaks in class and my students enjoy watching a Go Noodle video they can dance to to relieve stress and anxiety.
There are so many benefits that can be gained by listening to music!
We are about to begin practicing for the end of the year talent show and we could take this speaker outside to practice. In previous years we have practiced in the classroom, but there is limited space because of the desks. I would love to take it outside to our blacktop to practice. Also, our music teacher is only there every other week because of our current low enrollment, so this speaker will be used to listen to music to incorporate singing and movement. We appreciate your support so much!
