My Students

You know the quote "Dance like no one is watching"? Well, that's how we dance and move to music when we are inside for PE. Now that we are outside and we have our speaker system, we need music outside! The iPod will simplify the process of switching songs faster, making my students stay more active!

I teach Kindergarten and 1st Grade at a Title 1 school in Louisiana.

They have PE for 30 minutes every day. My students love when we exercise and play games to music! The majority of my students do not exercise very much once they leave school. I want to maximize the time I have with them by getting them to move as much as I can! I feel that music is one of the best and funnest ways to get students of this age to move it!

My Project

I plan on loading the iPod with different types of music so I can keep my students as active as I can for the 30 minutes they are with me. I did my student teaching with a teacher who played music every day while the students exercised and to most of the games. The students loved it! Well, I want my students to be able to enjoy the music we use inside...outside!
