My Project

I am a mental health counselor and this school year my work with students' main focus has been to help them regulate their nervous systems and learn and practice social skills or interpersonal relationships.

Students from k-8th grades come to my room to regulate when their nervous system is on overload.

Children are more anxious than ever and experience panic attacks at school. The weighted blanket is a wonderful tool to settle the nervous system. It is comforting and regulating. I know my students would benefit from it greatly. I have been supporting students with learning and practicing social skills all year with all ages. I look forward to the board games and the scenarios I will use for role-play.

In my therapy room, children learn how to take care of themselves and others. Having new material is so wonderful. It gives me and the therapy room new tools and ideas to support the children. Thank you for supporting my work and my students.
