This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love math and I hope to instill the love of math in my students by making math fun. I would love to provide my students with individual geometric kits to take home, to help them learn their shapes. One of the end of year PreK 4 math goals is to identify 4 or more shapes (circle, triangle, rectangle, square, oval, rhombus, trapezoid, semi-circle).
Everything around you is mathematics.
My students will be able to create fun things such as a chicken, bear, cat, boat, a windmill, and so much using these geometric tangram blocks. I will use the homework folder to track other math homework such as one to one correspondence work, number writing (1-10), and students drawing objects according to the number they see on the paper.
