My Students
Middle schoolers are the best! They always get a bad rap, but ever since I started teaching them 14 years ago, I know I'm in the right place. They have the perfect mix of youthful excitement, wanting to please, and readiness to learn, combined with the experience, knowledge and teachability to be excellent learners! Plus they get my corny jokes!
I'm lucky enough to get to teach the ASB/leadership class at our school and this allows me to get a great feel for the pulse of our school.
I get to make/influence decisions that impact the whole school and I love being involved and making an impact.
My Project
My district issued laptop cannot handle the basic requirements to teach from home. I deal with 10+ Zoom/laptop crashes per class and both my students and I are tired of it.
I know what I'm doing, I know I can be a great teacher, remotely or not, I just need the ability to do so.
The goal behind obtaining this Macbook Pro is to supply my students with accurate and efficient feedback during this difficult time. The MacBook Pro will provide my students with feedback without delay. The MacBook Pro will allow me to create resources for my students and to continue their learning process. My students need efficient feedback on their virtual learning and the MacBook Pro will help in making it stress-free
This project will not only help the 180 students in my classes, it will also benefit the 1200+ students at my school, by giving me access to video editing software, as well as other resources for our student council. Thank you for looking at my project, any help is much appreciated!
