This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Learning math is an abstract concept, but when there is relevance, students learn better. Creating those moments requires careful and intentional planning on the teacher. In 7th-grade, the majority of our standards are applicable to everyday activities, and while most students have never been outside of our town, we find ways for students to learn global issues.
Through several activities, research into environmental impacts, and learning how their simple actions can make a difference, students learn globalization and sustainability is everyone's responsibility.
The headphones help students to listen to teacher-created videos, provide a verbal response, and have discussions using the microphone on the headsets.
