I Got My Hands On It!

My students need 10 Math resources, including a fraction and decimal dice set, a Pizza Fraction fun game, an Auntie Pasta fun game and a place value chart.

I am a fourth grade Lead teacher in an Urban Charter school. Most of our students are considered as "Title One". Our school is based upon the head start model of instruction where most of the instruction is to be child centered and hands on. Our schools budget is very small so I need all the help I can get in order for my students to be successful.

Teaching fractions, decimals, and place value can be very difficult and challenging for my fourth grader students. In order for the students to learn, the hands-on manipulative's are essential to make it easier for them to learn and understand these difficult concepts. Using math manipulative's with the curriculum is so beneficial. It allows all the students to be successful learners.

This is why I am asking for help. My students will benefit so much from using the magnetic foam stripes and pieces, the whole apple, the fraction games while learning fraction, using the hand-on decimal deice while teaching decimals, place value flip chart, place value games while teaching place value and playing the games to review the difficult concepts.

Your donation will help empower my students and provide them with supplies they will need in order to be successful learners. Teaching fractions, decimals, and place value are always challenging for all the fourth grade students.
