My Students
I have 30 curious motivated students!
My students come from varied and diverse backgrounds, some from single-family homes that struggle to have all the necessary school supplies.
Many are from Immigrant families whose parents work two jobs to ensure that their children have all they need to learn and succeed. My students need to enter a classroom that has all that they need. They shouldn't have to worry if there will be enough materials available for them to learn.
My Project
My students love to read! However, my library is almost empty and outdated. We need new books in our library. Currently, our library consists of a few old and damaged books. Our school doesn't have the funds to replenish the classroom library.
My students get so excited when I bring in a new book to read to them.
I can only imagine their little faces when I tell them that we have lots of new books to add to our classroom library. I've asked for the different reading levels to match my students' reading ability. I'd like each of them to enjoy a new book that they can read.
