This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are typical teens and preteens. They love sports and video games. The latest music can be heard playing from their phones before school. Most are from second language learning families. Working class parents come to meetings always eager to see how they can help their children have the best learning opportunities.

Many of my students do not know the changing technologies in the world that are required to keep up with the jobs of the future.

An exposure to what is possible when they combine their imaginations with technology will help create both tangible results for today and the skills for tomorrow's careers.

My Project

Students will use these materials to bring to life their 3D designs. Sometimes in geometry, students see it as "made up math" however, by creating their own models, they will see that their designs are part of the real world.

Designing ballparks, buildings, and statues, students have the seeds planted in them that they can become architects, engineers, and artists.

Their dreams become real as their vision becomes a reality that they can hold, examine, and critique. Math becomes a concrete subject that has meaning in their lives. They will be able to analyze other students' work and be able to evaluate changes and improvements that can be made to the design, having a physical model to back up the theoretical math.
