My amazing school is located in Chattanooga, TN. The community is highly involved in creating meaningful learning experiences for our students. My kindergarten kiddos are at the beginning of their learning journey and I'm amazed each day by their progress.
Our students come to us with various skill levels and needs, so we want to meet them where they are with the best resources possible!

My Project
Our kindergarten students have a great breakfast and lunch provided at school, but the afternoon comes and they are hungry. Many families send in snacks, but sometimes they forget or cannot. When the students don't have a snack they are less able to focus during our afternoon reading and project-based learning block.
As teachers, we often spend our own money to have extra snacks if students don't have one.
You can imagine the cost adds up quickly. The price of a bag of pretzels is well worth an engaged kindergarten, though.
