This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Thank you for considering my project! I teach at a public school on Chicago's South Side. My students are lacking basic supplies for their day-to-day Spanish activities. Students at this school are very excited about learning Spanish and love to create with hands-on activities. It's been a heavy burden on my pocket to supply all the supplies we use, and we are now very low on supplies. Students love it when I display Spanish literature, but the books fall on the chalk board ledge constantly! The magnetic display shelves would be a great solution. These basic supplies and other materials would help my K-8th grade students make their daily projects more lively and complete. I incorporate a lot of crafty and hand-on learning experiences and need help with more supplies to last us until the end of the year, like pencils, play dough, glue sticks, and construction paper. I ask that you please consider us in your generosity.
